Not Far From Shallow Water is comprised of slightly reworked songs previously released by Vitne's two prior bands, SEKS and HART. This 4-song EP was released April 2, 2013 as a companion to his music video for the title track Not Far From Shallow Water, which won the Best Music Video award by the Akademia Awards in September 2013. The album has a heavy hair-metal edge and also contains Rock Me, a fan-favorite originally done by SEKS. The music video chronicles his time touring Norway with the band in 2011.
